Things and Prison...

I've not been blogging as much as I really want to because I'm very distracted. I'm writing to a friend in prison. He needs all the support he can get and some how the words aren't coming like they normally do. I'm struggling with my pending reply to his letter.

I know what you're thinking, Sa you've got prison buddies?! It's not even like that...at all. It's to confusalicious to get into not to mention, too private to post all of it here... but he shouldn't even be in there. With all my Law knowledge even I know this is a bit ridiculous.
Anyway, our families are really good friends and I was asked to write him a poem. I did and this has started the chain of writing to each other. I'm however stomped...I can't get any poetry out of my system.

*Sigh*

Well I'm off to get into it and read more of my book , so I can write a much needed review.

Books I have NO INTENTION of Reading #1

It dawned on me...there are many books, I won't every read unless there is some form of duress involved or I need to read in order to save to world.
The Twilight Series...Not gonna happen.
Friends keep saying how brilliant it is and I should get into it but NO!

The only thing saving the film is that Taylor Lautner is hot even though he's not legal....

Well I read the first one when I was much younger; it was a great BIG meh to me. Seriously I do not get the appeal. It was just alright in my opinion and the films are even worse it's like a Cash Cow, ripping money off of teens and tweens.
I sorry Stephanie Meyers not that my opinion matter your books have becoming major money raking in films but I won't finish the series.PERIOD....unless the world needed it. I kinda like this planet.

Making like Kit Kat

Well today, I've taken a break from my novel and a bit of  a break from blogging in an attempt to fix them up and make them a little better...I may even write a new hub.

I'm honestly just not in the mood to get into my book right now...which is bad considering I'm really only at the start. I do hope I can feel like a prime writer tomorrow. I plan to wake up early and let the literary juices flow.

I'm also gonna take the time to read more today, while sorting the blog out.
kisses.

BackSeat Blogging

Blogging has taken a backseat as of late....been so busy writing and reading my book; by the time I quit for the day its already waaaay past my bed time.

I've managed to get a decent flow going; with words that actually make sense and words that are readable. I actually have more reviews to post but will do it as soon as I have a sliver of time worthy of any blogging effort.

I'm also sorting out my other blog...that in comparison has received NO love lately. At some point well between now and next week....I will have this thing sorted! Maybe?!

Kisses

Sigh....

Writing today has proven to be a task and a half. I've some how gotten myself into a pickle concerning my writing style.

The whole narrative...gross.com. I'm using first person but some parts third. Well I just have no idea what to say or do right now.

It will be fun looking back after I've finished and laughing at myself and this current post. It's short a short one I'm afraid but only because CSI : Trilogy is on. It needs me to watch it. I need me to watch it.

Tomorrow I shall cipher my lil issue. Till then "Who are you, who, who, who, who...I really wanna know" and "We don't get fooled again...No, No!"

Chinese New Year vs. V Day

I'm ignoring that today is Valentine's ...if you feel the need to gush about, do it somewhere else. I will instead show some love for the Chinese New Year- year of the tiger and I'm a Tiger baby!

So Tiger year is meant to have some discrepancies, hiccups here and there...a new year is a new year is a new year, and we should all be happy for it. Plus those like myself not versed in Chinese celebrations, we have a new, New Year so we can start all those newly failed resolutions again...Phew!

So hearts, chocolates, flowers, cards, fireworks, presents...all in all today will be a good day...which ever you choose to acknowledged ***cough screw valentine's Day cough***. I should take a writer's break but I really need to make some headway in my booky wook.

Don't Judge a Book by its Movie Unless..

It's Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog. Yes it's my first official review. One of the films that to me was 'spot on' with the book. It totally conveyed the emotions and message of the book and is worth a watch. However this isn't about the film...it's about the book.
I am aware this is a bit old and a fair few people may have seen the film and read the book but it came up in conversation recently; a friend bought the film on DVD but had no idea that it was initially a book, let alone a newspaper column. I was shocked and appalled but hey! she's not an avid reader so I can't really complain.
She wondered if I'd recommend it and yes...YES! I do!
Author: Josh Grogan
Publication Date: 29 June, 2006.
ARC: 304 pages.
Genre: Autobiographical
Synopsis: the book portrays the makings of the Grogan family and their amazing, neurotic dog, Marley and the many adventures they had during the thirteen years that they lived with him. It documents the many lessons they learn along the way, which they wouldn't have without the existence of  Marley in their home.
My Review
This is more than just a book about a dog. Trust me even if you can't stand the four legged best friends of men it will still be a joy to read. It is a well written book that not only ensures you fall in love with the Grogan family and their pesky pet, it equally breaks your heart. Like a fatal attraction.
There are some parts that are run of the mill for any dog owner as such can be mundane, not to mention that sometimes Josh and Jenny come across fairly moronic in the things they do; but it is so funny and packed with emotion those parts are forgiveable.
The Grogans had no idea what they were getting into but then again, crazy slightly neurotic dogs can be expected from backyard breeders :) It focuses more on life going on around and involving the dog than the actual life of the dog. A dog's life span is so short that all you can do is love them 'till they gone...they tend to love and trust you all the same.
Great for any sex but a real tear jerker for the ladies. It is definitely worth the read. For me it's one of those books you just want to curl up with some goodies- a weekend break type of book.
I recently lost my dog , a couple of weeks ago. I didn't cry my eyes out, because I knew it was coming and prepared myself fully. She was almost 15 when she died...she just fell asleep. Even though this event happened a long time after I read this book, it poses the same sentiment all dog owners go through.

Blockage of the Writing Kind

So much for newly inspired, new book title, new fervour. My mind is drawing blanks to a level of great worry. I just can't seem to get into it at the moment.

Not to mention PMS, I know, I know too much information but perhaps it is affecting my writing mood. I'm very cranky and moody as in prone to bust out crying any second...for no reason whatsoever. So yeah I'm blaming my writer's block on PMS.

I'm off now to listen to some tunes and relax, I just may even write something...SHOCK HORROR!

My Book has a name!!!

Vegging/ while watching my sister battle through Splinter Cell; I buried my head into my pillow, sighed deeply and there it was!
My little light bulb moment.
To be honest it was more of a neon sign complete with flashing lights and surround sound, operatic angelic music from the heavens moment.

I jumped right up, so much that my sister gave me a 'what the hell?!' look. Laughter followed. I love that sge loves my new title.
It's give me a burst of inspiration. I had to completely scrap the chapters I'd written [a sad moment, quite frankly I was pissed off that this didn't happen before I got stuck into my story],
Alas, c'est la vie and things of that nature.
The new title suits me even better than its predecessor! YaY!

It changes the style of writing- the story is the same but how I'm telling it has changed- excited!!!!

Newly Inspired!!!!
